You have something valuable to share. You solve a problem. You make peoples’ lives better.
Maybe you act in your corner of the world, with good results for your clients. But what about those outside your circle? In order to help them, you have to reach them.
One way to go bigger is with a book.
Writing a book can build a change the world for you and your clients — and many outside your circle as well.
Lori Matzke was a real estate stager, who started her business in 1999, back before real estate staging was a thing. She created beautiful home settings so that real estate buyers could have a more powerful imaginative connection than with an empty house.
It doesn’t seem like such an oddity now, because it’s so commonplace.
But at the beginning, it wasn’t everywhere. Not many people knew about it, and not many people understood how powerful it could be.
So Lori wrote a book that revolutionized the real estate industry.
“When I solicited real estate agents, very few thought they needed the service because they didn’t really understand it,” she told Entrepreneur magazine.
As a result of her book she opened franchises in major US cities and started a movement. Her book was a big part of what made the difference.
She got the word out, and it changed the way real estate is sold.
What’s your revolution? How will you change the world?
Maybe you’re not establishing a new industry. But because you are unique, your approach is inevitably unique as well.
How can you show your uniqueness in a way that connects with people outside your small circle? Tell us in the comments.
